Bodyweight Strength For Snowboarders

Snowboarding has developed so much in the past 20 years. Athletes are putting their bodies to the limit with improved technology, terrain and expertise. This extreme sport requires so much physically and mentally. Bodyweight Strength is perfect for those who want that edge on the mountain. Not everyone is interested throwing weights around and a calisthenics routine meshes more appropriately with their goals. 

We have incorporated calisthenics/ bodyweight strengthening for 20+ years in our routine. While a pull-up bar can be a fantastic tool, it is simply not realistic for many. We spent hours researching/ developing movements without the use of ANY tools that were equally effective for snowboarding performance and injury prevention. 

We made sure to appropriately progress each workout over an 8-week period. We also provide options for those just starting their fitness journey or  advanced users that require more of a challenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

While we tailored this workout to snowboarders, it is 100% appropriate for ANY athlete. We all use similar muscles, soft tissues, frontal cortex, etc to perform on/ off the mountain. We promise you will see benefits for performance or for everyday life!

Absolutely not. We encourage those to mix & match days that are most appropriate for you. We understand life can sometimes take over so be easy on yourself but also push yourself when appropriate. 

We will always encourage those to add resistance. Physiologically, you will create greater muscle hypertrophy over a shorter period of time. But, not everyone feels comfortable using weights or has the option. 

Great! We created an easy to follow chart for beginner/ intermediates/ advanced users. We encourage you to push yourself out of your comfort zone and skip movements that may feel uneasy/ unsafe. This program can be completed by every athlete. 

Unfortunately the workout videos are not downloadable but the PDFs of each workout are. Due to previous users abusing this privilege, we had to make the videos only available on your membership account.

Shred 3.0 is much more in-depth on including resistance based movements in a gym or at home. It also includes MDSA aerobic routines, PLAY sessions, mobility sessions and is 12 weeks in total. It’s more appropriate for those looking to strengthen in a gym setting with a few pieces of equipment.
